Dr. Sheila Furey

Child Advocate

Dr. Sheila Furey M.D. is a psychiatrist in Richmond, Virginia. She is married with two daughters. Dr. Furey has a small private practice and specializes in teaching neuroplasticity exercises to children and adults with learning disabilities and those struggling with cognitive difficulty from injury or disease. Dr. Furey ran for the House of Delegates in 2021 and was an outspoken advocate for medical freedom and scientific debate.

Dr. Furey began treating Covid-19 patients when her own patients were denied treatment. This has given her a frontline seat in the failures of the American healthcare system: the loss of the doctor-patient relationship, treatment options being dictated by insurance plans and hospital administrations, and pharmacies refusing to fill life-saving medications. She is a caring doctor who values the relationships she builds with her patients and respects the choices they make. She enjoys involvement in local government and educating the public on topics of health and freedom
